Alan Rosecrans

Alan Rosecrans, 66, passed away on August 17, 2024 in Ronald, Washington. A small service to honor Alan’s life will be held at a later date.

Alan was born on January 31, 1958 in Seattle and spent his life embracing the beauty of the outdoors, a passion that defined most of his leisure time. He spent a significant portion of his career working for Jore, a barge company in Seattle, where his work took him to diverse locations such as Midway Island, Honduras and Hawaii. He later worked at Shoemaker Manufacturing in Cle Elum, and volunteered at Hopesource, contributing positively to his community. An avid outdoorsman, Alan cherished the time he spent in nature, particularly hunting, a hobby that allowed him to connect with nature and enjoy the tranquility of the outdoors. 

Alan is survived by his children Jason Rosecrans, Jeremy Rosecrans (wife Melanie), and Cassie Turner (husband Brandon); his grandchildren Kaden and Benjamin Rosecrans, Peyton and Makenna Rosecrans, Lane and Grady Turner; and his sister, Wendy Rosecrans LaChapelle (husband Mike). He was preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Sandy Rosecrans, as well as his mother Dolores Halvorson, his father John “Jack” Rosecrans and his brother John Rosecrans. 

Alan’s love for his family and his passion for the outdoors will be remembered by all who knew him. His life was a testament to his resilience and capacity to love, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.
