Christopher P. Crnick, “Chrissy Babe”, passed away with his family present on February 4, 2025 after a valiant battle to regain his health due to an ongoing injury.
For those who knew Chris, we all adored his innocence, wondrous spirit, love of the wild and adventure. His tales of his long-haul travels, stories of his youth, and aspirations were a point of connection for many of us. Chris was always willing to lend a helping hand, showing up at the most unpredictable times. Throughout his life, Chris fought a battle with addiction but was always dedicated to his family, friends, and those around him.
Chris was born in Ephrata, Washington, where he grew up with his family enjoying the various lakes and warm weather. A multi-generational resident of Roslyn, Washington, he returned after college and remained enjoying summers filled with boating, kite flying, music and motorcycles, and winters filled with snowmobiling and snowblowing. He has always held Roslyn in a very tender place of his heart.
Chris is survived by his sister, Cynthia Crnick; niece, Lauren Jackson; great nieces, Harlow and Piper; niece, Kaitlyn Walker; brother, Craig Crnick; niece, Savannah Crnick; nephew, Anthony Crnick; and brother-in-law, Jeff Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Alice Crnick, as well as his sister, Cathleen Crnick.
Chris will be greatly missed. There is no simpler way to state that. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers, but mostly, embrace the warm wind and water in the summer and smile when cold snowflakes hit your cheeks in the winter for Chris’ spirit lives on in those moments.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Roslyn with burial to follow at Roslyn Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow the graveside at the Roslyn Eagles. Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening, also at the Church. Please join us in remembering Chris and his stories.
