Donna Lynn (Twigg) Ringer

Donna Lynn (Twigg) Ringer, 72, resident of Liberty WA, passed away on January 17, 2020 peacefully in her home.

Donna was born January 23, 1947 in Ballard Washington to David W Twigg & Frances M Twigg (Johnsen). Donna grew up tough being the only girl among three boys, two of which were older. Donna spent her younger years in Ballard but also at her grandfather’s farm by Bear Creek in Woodinville, WA. This is where Donna’s love of horses began. Donna spent her time on the farm riding horses, eating the best hamburgers made by her Grandma, building forts, fishing and playing in the creek. Donna’s passion for horses would continue on in life.

Donna attended Ballard High school after graduation she went to JR College then began working for Honeywell marine systems in Ballard. She would continue this career for 18 years working her way up to senior buyer. Donna loved the Seattle night life and dancing to the live bands this is where she met Fred. Donna and Fred would get married on the 17th of August, 1974 and settle in Kenmore Washington. They made a great team together, owning two productive NAPA auto part stores and raising their two children. Donna and Fred, would eventually move to Redmond to a property with more acreage, it was here that Donna was able to design her dream house complete with pastures for her horses to graze on. Donna also loved tennis and was a member of the Gold Creek Tennis club for years.

Donna and her husband enjoyed going to Napa owner conferences, and many close friends were made through the stores ownership and work vacations. They also enjoyed trips to Europe, Hawaii, Mexico and in the later years being snow birds in Arizona.

Donna enjoyed traveling with family and friends, celebrating birthdays and holidays with her family. Watching her grandchildren play at the Liberty Cabin, on all the fun cabin toys.

Donna is survived by her husband, Fred; children Clinton (Erin) Ringer, Shelby (Eric) Nelson. Her grandchildren, Lief Nelson, Lynn Nelson, Freya Nelson, Elizabeth Ringer and Anna Ringer; and siblings Ron (Pat) Twigg, Bob (Linda) Twigg and Terry (Evonne) Twigg.
