Eby Nell Repin was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on May 11, 1934 to parents Eugene and Bess Reagan. In 1939, the family, with sister Eva Lea, moved to Ketchikan, Alaska. Eby graduated from Ketchikan High School in 1952 with a class of 16 boys and 16 girls. She remained lifelong friends with her entire class. The loves of her life were her husband Mike; her five children - Rick, Ron, Rob, Lori, and Lynda; her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many loving friends. Eby liked people, and people liked her. Her rules in life were simple. Show respect where it is earned; speak the truth; and do everything to the best of your ability. She loved animals and trees. Wherever here home was, it was never without a dog. Wherever her yard was, it was never without a tree that her husband or one of her kids planted for her to watch grow. In the years when her kids were all grown and off chasing dreams and adventures of their own, her idea of a good time was camping trips with her husband to some river where she could lay in the sun with a good book listening to the sound of the water and the breeze through the trees. In her later years, and up to the final moments of her life, she was blessed with a husband who graciously and lovingly cared for her every need. At age 84, Eby passed away peacefully at her home in South Cle Elum on Palm Sunday, April 14, 2019. Her final wishes were to not have a funeral, so no services are planned. Instead, she will be cremated, and when the time comes, her ashes will be joined with her husband's for their final trip to the river together.
