Erin Phillips Clark passed away on September 4, 2022 at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon following a brief illness. She was born on April 3, 1969 at the Toppenish Hospital to Rod and Lorene Phillips.
Growing up in a big family, there was always a group to play board games, especially her favorite Trivial Pursuit. Erin loved family camping trips, she was in Blue Birds and Campfire Girls and was a member of the Wapato Swim Team.
After graduating from Wapato High School, she went on to study at Yakima Valley College, where she made many lifelong friends.
Erin’s favorite job was at the Yakima Valley Museum, she loved it so much that when she retired early, she went back and volunteered there.
She had a sense of adventure and after many trips to the Oregon Coast she decided to move there and lived in Lincoln City for a time. She took trips to Victoria, British Columbia, Reno, Nevada and several trips to Cornwall, England. Her recent health kept her from traveling, but she was still dreaming of road trips up and down the west coast.
Erin valued her many friendships and loved keeping up with friends and family on Facebook.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rod and Lorene Phillips and her eldest sister Shannon McConkey. Erin is survived by her brother Charles Phillips, sisters Debbie Marcy (John) and Colleen Phillips and brother in law Ralph McConkey, nephew Ryan McConkey, nieces Caitlin Goettlicher (Jacob) and Julie Marcy and great nephew Ethan Goettlicher.
A memorial celebration is planned for next spring.
Johnston & Williams Funeral Home and Crematory of Ellensburg has been entrusted with caring for Erin and her family. Online condolences may be left at www.johnston-williams.com
