Gail J. Coby, 66, longtime resident of Cle Elum, passed away on January 25, 2021 at the Kittitas Valley Hospital in Ellensburg. Viewing for family and friends will be from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Johnston & Williams Funeral Home in Ellensburg. A celebration of Gail’s life will be held this summer at the family home.
Gail was born on August 29, 1954 to Forrest & Margaret (Forgue) Mullen. She grew up in Issaquah and graduated Issaquah High School in 1972. Gail had a variety of jobs over the years including working for the Seattle Water Department as a pipe layer and at the nursing home in Cle Elum, but her favorite job was working as a flagger for traffic control on various road projects for over 20 years. She and her husband of 45 years, Nick Coby, have resided in Cle Elum for over 30 years.
Gail was a Tribal Elder for the Snoqualmie Tribe, enjoyed taking part in tribal Canoe Journeys, had a bright smile and was the queen of yard sales. She had a very loving personality and will be missed by all who knew her. Gail was a loving adopted mother to many.
She is survived by her husband Nick Coby; Mrs. Lisa Marie (Rosebud) & Mr. Beau-chene Roy, Maylea Nichole Coby (Sparkplug), Grandchildren Autumn Coby, Whitney Coby, Cory Roy, Megan Roy, Cheyanne Coby and Eddie Wood as well as great-granddaughter Eva Marie Coby. She is also survived by her three sisters Cheryl Mullen, Lois Peterson and Judith Harder as well as her four brothers Joe, Ray, Mike and Steve Mullen. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as brothers John and Doug Mullen.
