Jerome “Jerry” Johnson
1941-2021
On Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the age of 80, Jerome “Jerry” lost his battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born on April 1, 1941 in St. Paul, Minnesota to John and Doris (Riley) Johnson. Jerry attended Farmsworth Grade School, Cleveland Jr. High and Johnson High School. Jerry was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. He had a great sense of humor that everyone loved. He was always cheerful.
Jerry joined the Navy in 1958 then in 1960 he met and married Sue Harvieux in St. Paul, Minnesota. Then they started their family, welcoming three children, Cheryl, Julie and Jeff.
After serving 20 years in the Navy, Jerry worked 18 years at Boeing. This brought Jerry and the family out to live in Washington state, where they lived on Whidbey Island, in Kirkland, Cle Elum and finally settled in Ellensburg.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Sue,of 61 years, his daughters, Cheryl (Scott) Frary and Julie (George) Gorveatt. Grandchildren Joey (Cammy) Cirhan, Tim (Jennifer) Cirhan, Caleb (Sarah) Frary, Jennifer (Jacob) Gorveatt, Lisa (Gabe) Gorveatt-Evans, Cynthia (Matt) Gorveatt-Haave. Six great Grandchildren Lianna, Lizzy, Sophia, Ember, Charlee and Harper, and Jack due in December. And many nieces and nephews.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, his son Jeff, and sister Joyce Pettee.

Rosary will be prayed at St. Andrews Catholic Church at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021 also at the church with a reception to follow in the parish hall from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery following the reception.
