Kenneth Beatty

September 29, 1947 — August 1, 2020

Ellensburg, Washington

Kenneth "Gummer" Beatty, 72, passed away peacefully at his home in Ellensburg on Saturday, August 1, 2020.  Services will be announced at a later date.

Kenny was born in Bremerton, Washington on September 29, 1947 to George and Mildred Beatty.  He was raised in Poulsbo, Washington with his sisters Carol, Barbara and Brenda.

Kenny lived a full life.  He worked on tug boats in Alaska, for a mining company in Arizona and was a Rigger for the Puget Sound Shipyard.  He loved horseback riding, hunting, fishing, rouckhouding and tall tales.  He was always looking for an adventure - whether it be looking for Ellensburg Blues, dropping off pies and donuts to his son-in-law's hunting camp or fishing with the grandkids. He loved going for long rides and counting deer with his companion, Deena.  He was also a longtime member of the Eagles Lodge.

Kenny is survived by his sisters Barbara and Brenda; children Shawn, Shannon (Dennis), Sonya, Karen (Nathan) and Janet (Marlowe) as well as ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Carol and granddaughter Heather.

Memorial contributions in Kenny's honor are suggested to Hospice Friends, 302 E. Second Ave., Ellensburg, Washington 98926.  Johnston & Williams Funeral Home and Crematory of Ellensburg has been entrusted with caring for Kenny's family.
