Laura Priscilla Finlon, born on November 7, 1958, in Lancaster, California, to John and Priscilla Brown, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024, in Joshua Tree, California. Laura, affectionally known as Lolo, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose spirit and joy touched all who knew her.

Laura is survived by her devoted husband, Matthew, and their three children, Alex (Bjorn), Tory, and Stephen. She was the proud grandmother to Trafford, Scarlett, Greta, and Anders, who brought immense joy to her life. Her family also includes her cherished dogs, Pippin and Skye.

A proud alumnus of Washington State University, Laura's passion for life was evident in everything she did. She was known for her vibrant personality, her love for dancing, Polka dots, coffee, black licorice ice cream, Priest Lake, and Disneyland. Laura loved all things athletic, particularly those that challenged her. Her legacy of kindness and happiness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A memorial mass and reception will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 8900 35th Ave NE, Seattle. A private burial will take place at the Swauk Cemetery near Cle Elum, Washington. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to HOPE Animal-Assisted Crisis Response, reflecting Laura's love and compassion for the healing powers of animals. 

Laura will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul rest in peace.
