Lee Frazier

E. Lee Frazier, 80, longtime resident of Easton, passed away at his home on Friday, March 9, 2018. At Lee's request, there are no services. Lee was born on June 1, 1937 in Nome, Alaska. He grew up in the Seattle area and completed his schooling in Burien. After high school, Lee worked various jobs around the Seattle area doing maintenance and other associated work. He also owned and operated a gas station in south Seattle for several years. In 1971, Lee met JoAnn LaVassar on a blind date and soon Lee, JoAnn & JoAnn's two sons, Wayne and Bruce, were spending their free time together camping in the Easton area. At that time Lee's son Todd and daughter Teresa were living in Little Rock, Arkansas with their mother. In 1982, after Lee's brother, Dick Frazier, passed away Lee moved to Easton & took over ownership and management of the RV Town complex which included the convenience store, Shell gas station and the Turtle Burger Bar, a campground and also spaces for monthly renters. He also owned and operated a Ski-Doo snowmobile store at RV Town for a time. In 2011, Lee sold the main building, restaurant, gas station and store and retired, also closing the campground at that time. Lee will be remembered as a true family and community man. He employed many Easton teenagers & others at the store and restaurant over the years. He loved to spend time four-wheeling, snowmobiling and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He also found great peace spending time at their cabin on Whidbey Island and was an avid crabber. He had been a member of the Cabin Creek Cruisers car club, the Dike Island Duck Club, The Snomads snowmobile club, and Holmes Harbor Rod & Gun Club, Whidbey Island. Lee is survived by his wife, JoAnn LaVassar-Frazier at the family home in Easton; children Todd (Vicky) Kelley of Anchorage, Alaska; Teresa Long of Las Vegas, Nevada; Wayne (Karolyn) LaVassar of Manhattan Beach, California; Bruce (Tina) LaVassar of Nampa, Idaho. He is also survived by his sisters Shari Lee of Eastsound, Washington and Patricia Wallace of Des Moines, Washington; grandchildren Brandon, Gina, Amanda, Lucas, Wren, Mike and Jess, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
