Linda F. Akkerman

Linda F. Akkerman, 76, of Ellensburg, Washington, was called to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 23, 2025. 

Linda was born and raised in Ellensburg. She spent many years in the Seattle area, which she loved so much. After the passing of her husband, Daryl J. Akkerman, Linda returned to Ellensburg to be surrounded by family and friends. She will be remembered for her love, kindness and generosity for everyone she met. She always had a smile, hug, and kind word. She will be missed immensely. 

Linda is survived by her children Kristina Smith (Jason) of Tennessee and James Kumm of Washington. She was proud to be “Grandma Nomie” to numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and sister to Bob Kerr and Judi Cortes, both of Washington.

An informal gathering to remember her will be held when the weather warms.
