Mercedes Marie Davis, 85, formerly of Cle Elum, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the Lake Ridge Care Center in Moses Lake where she had resided for the last several years. A private family service will be held in the spring.
Mercedes was born on September 16, 1935 in Seattle, the only child of Henry & Marie (Winters) Jamison. She grew up in the Bothell area and, following high school, attended beauty school for a time before starting her family. Mercedes was blessed with seven children and they kept her very busy as a mother and homemaker. She raised her family in the Snohomish area and moved to Cle Elum/Roslyn in 2012 to be closer to her daughter, Laura.
Mercedes liked going for walks, spending time camping and listening to her record collection. She will be remembered for having a feisty personality and caring heart.
Mercedes is survived by her children April (Mike) Liebert, Howard Davis, Edwin Davis, Terry (Kathy) Davis, Kaleesia (Mike) Van Dyke and Laura (Wayne) Plesha as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Shannon and daughter-in-law Darlene.
Memorial contributions in Mercedes’s honor are suggested to the Lake Ridge Center, 817 E. Plum Street, Moses Lake, WA 98837. The family wishes to thank the staff of Lake Ridge for their exceptional care during mom’s nearly four years as a resident there.
