Michael Alexander Repin

Michael Alexander Repin was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on March 5, 1939 to parents Albert and Virginia Repin.

In 1966 he married Eby, "the prettiest lady I had ever seen". As a handsome carefree young man with a world of possibilities in front of him, he chose to marry the woman he loved and freely accept the responsibilities of raising and caring for the five children that came with her. From that day on, every move he made and every decision he made was based on one premise; Is this what is best for my wife, and what is best for the kids?

They were married 53 years when Eby took her last breath at 5:30 am on Palm Sunday 3 years ago. Mike was devastated when he lost her. It has been his faith that one day they would be together again, the love and support from family and friends, and the watchful care given by eldest son Rick and his wife Ruthee that has kept him going since her passing.

On March 23, 2022, Mike left us to be with his beloved wife. For him, he was ready, and it is a joyous occasion. For us left behind, who were not ready, it will be difficult.

Mike and Eby loved camping and seeing new country. Sometimes it was camping at some scenic mountain lake. But more often it was the mountain rivers that called to them.

In the early years it was with all the kids, and the joy for them was watching us all being kids, running free, and loving life. In the later years, it was just the two of them, catching a fish or two, feeling the warmth of the sun on their faces, listening to the wind whisper through the trees, and letting the music of the river carry their cares away.

They loved going to the river.

There will be no funeral or memorial services. Mike and Eby know you, love you, and thank you. But they want a simple and humble departure. On a warm spring day, very soon their ashes will be joined and taken on their last trip to the river together.
