Peggy Jeanne Upton

Peggy Jeanne Upton, 71, of Ellensburg, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 with her beloved husband, Scott Wilson, at her side.

Peggy is survived by her husband Scott; her sisters Roxanne Olason and Patricia Grodt; brothers-in-law Chuck and Kim Wilson along with sisters-in-law Peggy Wenham and Cheryl Wilson.

Peggy graduated from Central Washington University with an art degree originally thinking she was going to be a teacher.  However, one teacher in the family was enough and she instead worked in the Ellensburg School District as a night janitor.  Peggy had a wicked quick wit, a passion for shopping in magazines, and a love for fishing.

Despite her short stature, Peggy could dominate any room.  More than anything, Peggy loved her husband of 48 years and her cats, even though some may argue in which order.  She was an avid supporter of Kittitas Basketball as Mr. Wilson’s coaching career spanned three decades.

Peggy loved hard and will certainly be missed by so many who loved her in return.
