Philip Steven “Phil” Robblee, 79, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023, in his home in Ellensburg with family at his side. A graveside service will be conducted at Noon on Monday, June 5, 2023 at the IOOF Cemetery in Ellensburg. A reception will follow at The Palace Café.
Phil was born on July 24, 1943, and grew up in Seattle before graduating high school in Grandview, Washington. He worked for the railroad and had countless odd jobs in his life. He was a welder, woodworker, mechanic and overall craftsman. He often spent his time in his shop repairing and restoring old cars, boats and motorcycles.
He built a house in the King’s Beach area of Lake Tahoe and lived there for several years before marrying Johneel Fitting in June of 1987. Together they had two children, and moved back to Washington, eventually ending up in Ellensburg where he spent the remainder of his life.
Phil is survived by his children Jesse Robblee and Robyn Robblee-Roth; his siblings Richard Robblee, Sarah Hotchkiss and Neil Robblee as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Johneel, brother David Robblee and sister Kass Robblee.
