Robert Anthony Coffey (Bob) passed away on November 21, 2023 at his home in Tacoma. Bob was born in Marengo, Adams County, Washington and was 99 years old. He honorably served his country in the US Army and is a WWII veteran.
Bob is remembered as a loving, kind, husband, father, and friend. He was a pillar of strength, standing by the side of his surviving wife Wanda Coffey and her three boys Rick, Greg and Gary and was always available for his family and friends. He married Wanda on June 19, 1975 “a schoolteacher," moving to Snoqualmie, Washington, joining Wanda and her family. Together, Bob and Wanda built a cabin for the family off Peoh Point Road in Cle Elum and when Wanda retired from teaching, they moved to Cle Elum full time. Bob enjoyed spending time at the cabin and its doors were always open to family, friends and anyone that wanted a hot cup of coffee or a place to relax and get away.
Bob and Wanda enjoyed the mountains, rivers, lakes, snowmobiling, hiking, mushrooming, berry picking, and most of all each other. Oh ya, Bob loved anything to do with sports, especially the Seahawks and Mariners. Together Bob and Wanda spent their years serving the communities they lived in.
Bob will always be remembered as a loving husband, friend, and dad to all of us that knew him.
Mr. Coffey will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony at Laurel Hill Memorial Park in Cle Elum. Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnston & Williams of Cle Elum.
