Roger E. Girard, a respected entrepreneur and beloved family man, passed away at home on March 3, 2025, in the Teanaway Valley of Cle Elum, Washington. A proud alumnus of the University of Washington, Roger earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Roger's entrepreneurial spirit was a life-long driver of his dynamic and visionary leadership. He built so many special friendships around the globe while building 18 successful companies over the past 50 years. He was passionate about solving hard business problems and building and ministering to teams of talented and trusted leaders.

Roger's commitment to his work was matched only by his devotion to his family, who were the center of his world. He is survived by his loving wife, Shari Girard; his daughters, Kimberly Girard, Nicole Doyle, and Kristin Girard; his stepson, Matthew Starr; his son-in-laws Kristian Gyorkos and Timothy P. Doyle; his grandchildren: Joss Gyorkos, Katarina Gyorkos, Theodore Doyle, Preston Doyle; his brother Robert Girard and sister Kay Hamilton and many nieces and nephews. Each of them cherish the moments they shared with him and will strive to carry his legacy forward.

Roger's personal passions were many. His talent for gardening came from growing up in the family orchards of Winthrop and Chelan. He was a star athlete at Chelan High school, lettering in football, basketball and baseball. He was President of Chelan High School's FFA. He played semi-professional baseball in the California league. He was a life-long outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting, flyfishing, skiing, and boating. He had a special way with animals and spent decades involved in the Arabian horse industry.

Gatherings of family and friends were always important to Roger. His gift of hospitality and love of cooking created many family traditions and fond memories for so many. These provided opportunities to share life stories and reiterate the importance of his walk with Jesus Christ.
