The world got a little less bright on Monday, September 6, 2021 when Ryan Anthony Romano, 38, of Ellensburg, passed away at the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Roslyn Cemetery kiosk. A reception will follow at the Roslyn Eagles. Masks will be required.
Ryan was born on May 30, 1983 in Ellensburg and was raised in Cle Elum. While in school, he excelled in football and wrestling. He attended Central Washington University and earned his bachelor’s degree in construction management in 2015. He worked for 509 Excavation before being hired on by Belsaas & Smith as a project manager.
Ryan met Rebekah Moon in 2012 and they hit it off right away and were blessed with one son - Luke Anthony Romano. In July 2018, Ryan rode his Harley to Spokane to buy an engagement ring and came home sunburnt. That didn’t stop him from proposing - and he was eagerly looking forward to making Rebekah his wife.
Ryan enjoyed all things outdoors including hunting, river floating, camping, and riding his Harley. He loved being a dad and cherished every moment he and Luke spent together. He was larger than life and had one of the biggest laughs you’d ever heard. He was also a HUGE fan of the Seattle Seahawks.
Ryan is survived by his fiance, Rebekah Moon and their son Luke of Ellensburg; his mother Deanna Myers of Cle Elum; brother Donny (Julie) Myers of Cle Elum; step-sister Hillary Myers and half siblings Nathan, Allison and Kendra; grandfather Tony Romano of Cle Elum as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his dad, Donald Myers and grandmother Dona Romano.
Memorial contributions in Ryan’s honor are suggested to a local charity of your choice that directly impacts the residents of Kittitas County.
Johnston & Williams Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with caring for Ryan and his family. Online condolences may be left at www.johnston-williams.com
