Sally Ann Noble, 91, longtime Ellensburg resident, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2024 with her husband, Dennis, at her side. At her request, her life will be honored privately by her family and close friends.
Sally was born on March 4, 1933 in Tacoma, Washington. She graduated from Tacoma’s Lincoln High School in 1950 and continued her education at the San Jose Bible College where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sacred Literature. In 1957, Sally accepted a position with Prudential Insurance and worked out of their Yakima office for 17 years as a records clerk.
Sally married Dennis L. Noble on December 7, 1974 in Renton, Washington and, a few years later, they moved to Ellensburg where they have resided since that time. Over the years, Sally was heavily involved in different square dance clubs, serving on almost every committee and in every leadership position at all levels - local, regional and state. She enjoyed classic country music, crocheting, collecting recipes and traveling the country with Dennis in their motorhome.
Some of Sally’s sayings impacted many and her last words “leave the light on” were clear and indelible. She will be remembered for always having an impish twinkle in her eyes, her spontaneous laughter and her nature to be quick to greet others with a smile. This was evident during her stay at Prestige Care & Rehab where she made friends quickly with staff and the other residents.
Sally is survived by her husband, Dennis Noble of Ellensburg; daughter Denise Noble of Minneapolis, MN; son Kevin Noble of Portland, OR; grandchildren Asher Franicola (fiance Nikky Schroedsen), Ashley (Silas) Nelson, and Ethan Noble; brother Johnny (Emily) Nygard, brother-in-law Sherwood (Dianne) Noble; sister-in-law Marcia Heer; as well as many extended family members and friends.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to their friends, neighbors and other caregiving staff who assisted in Sally’s last days. She often mentioned names and told great stories from her experiences with all that contributed to her wellbeing and care. Her last days were handled by KVH Hospice and, in spite of her pain, Sally still roused when her name was called. She did her best to ensure everyone in her diverse care team was accepted and recognized for their skill in keeping her comfortable until she departed this world.
Memorial contributions in Sally’s honor are suggested to KVH Hospice, 1506 Radio Rd, Ellensburg, WA 98926 or to another local charity of choice to help those in our community.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnston & Williams of Ellensburg. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.johnston-williams.com
