Sandy was born in Denver, Colorado, to Larry and Ardis Clark. She spent many years in Colorado before eventually making her way to Juneau, Alaska, where she met the love of her life, Joe Dees. While in Juneau, she worked for Wien Airlines and Alaska Airlines for many years before she and Joe later settled in Ellensburg.

Sandy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family meant everything to her, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was incredibly talented with crafting and sewing, creating countless treasures for those she loved.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Ardis Clark; her brother, Mike Clark; and her sister, Linda Jarrett.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Joe Dees; her sister, Connie Paxton; her son, Mark (Toni) Petrie; and her daughter, Lori Cameron. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Savana (Beau) Damian, Amanda Cameron, Megan (Odalis) DeLosAngeles, and Tanner Petrie, as well as her great-grandchildren, Addisyn Rae Damian, Mason Allan Damian and Noah John DeLosAngeles. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Cheryl Dees, Audrey McKeever, Joyce Mauk, Oletta Osborn, and Virginia Paddock, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sandy had a kind and generous heart, always ready to offer a helping hand or a listening ear. If you knew Sandy, you were truly blessed. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Memorial contributions in Sandy’s honor are suggested to The Gretchen Weller Foundation, PO Box 1762 or to KVH Hospice, 1506 E. Radio Road, both in Ellensburg.
