Stuert E. Bold, a devoted family man, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2024, at the age of 81. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol J. Bold; his son, Mark Bold (Krista); his daughters, Connie Garvey (Tom) and Lora Margeson (Ted); and his sister, Arlene Gehring. Stuert was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and a great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren.
Stuert was born in Minot, ND on May 14, 1943. He served in the US Army, and then moved to the Seattle area to work with his brothers at Universal Land Construction Co, where he eventually became one of the owners. He was admired and respected for his extraordinary work ethic and integrity.
Stuert's generosity and kindness were boundless. He would eagerly lend a helping hand to anyone in need, usually without being asked. He was a man who truly loved life, and his joy was contagious. He didn’t say a lot of words, but he had the best sense of humor and one-liners. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He taught us the most important life lessons, not by his words but by his actions: work hard, do what’s right, be kind, and live life to the fullest.
Stuert loved motorcycles and often joked that speed limits were merely suggestions. He was also a true car enthusiast. He was especially proud of his 1955 Chrysler New Yorker St. Regis Deluxe, affectionately named Vivian. He took immense joy in working on Vivian and taking her for drives, showcasing his meticulous care and pride in his cherished car.
Stuert E. Bold has gone to be with the Lord, leaving behind a world that is better for having known him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends. The family wishes to thank all our friends and neighbors who have been so supportive during Stuert's illness. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to KVH Hospice of Ellensburg, and the Gretchen Weller Cancer Foundation, organizations that were close to Stuert's heart.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnston & Williams of Ellensburg. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.johnston-williams.com
