Susan Marie Fought

March 21, 1969 — March 21, 2024

Ellensburg, Washington

Susan Marie Fought passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, on her 55th birthday, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer with her family by her side.

Susie was born on March 21, 1969 in Moses Lake, Washington to Clyde V. Fought and Linda J. Moore.  Susie went to school in Othello, Washington and later moved to Oregon.  During her time in Oregon she worked many years in retail and later earning her associate’s degree, graduating from pharmacy school as a pharmacy assistant.

Susie was a person who lit up the room when she smiled, she had a heart of gold and wanted to help everyone. She loved life and loved the people around her.

Susie’s family was a huge part of her life and her grandchildren held a huge chunk of her heart.

Susie loved to paint crafts and make tie dye shirts. She was always roping someone in to try it… and they ended up loving it too.  Karaoke was another of her favorite things to do.  Her latest passion was living on her houseboat with her fiancé James, riding up and down the rivers of Oregon and seeing as much of Puget Sound in Washington as they could.

Susie is survived by her fiancé, James Slater; father and bonus mom, Clyde (Jennie) Fought; one son, Adam (Jordan) Fought; two daughters, Heather Thompson and Ashley (Robert) Schulze; sisters, Sherri (John Tierney) Fought and Shelli Fought-Conn along with seven grandchildren, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda J. Moore.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Eagles Lodge in Othello, Washington.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnston & Williams of Ellensburg.
