Teresa Marie Rominger, 69, lifetime Ellensburg resident, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
Teresa was born on March 8, 1955 in Ellensburg, Washington to George & Jane (Thayer) Rominger. She grew up in Ellensburg and graduated from Ellensburg High School with the Class of 1973. She later attended Central Washington University where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She worked for many years at CWU in various departments and as a nurses aide at some of the local nursing homes.
Teresa was a loving mother and grandmother, a compassionate and kind caregiver, and a good friend to many. Over the years, she was an avid tennis player, a skilled swimmer and diver. She loved being in a pool and loved fishing at the local ponds. She was a talented crafter who designed, created and then sold her unique merchandise. Teresa had an eye for fashion despite being known for wearing flip flops in the middle of winter. With an undeniable quick sense of humor, she brought the gift of laughter to many throughout her life.
In later years, her world revolved around her grandchildren and her dog, Tilly. She loved spending time with all of them and together, they made precious memories. With an enviable “green thumb”, she also spent many hours in her yard tending to her beautiful flower beds.
Teresa is survived by her daughter Amanda J. (Pemberton) Hubschmitt (husband Brian) and grandchildren Tyler David, Braden Taylor, Kennedy Jane, Kaisie, and Kara; brother Raymond (Patricia) Rominger of Ellensburg; sisters Kathie Kuchin of Tennessee and Peggy (Dan) Osmonovich of Ellensburg; two nephews; her adored canine companion; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be a private celebration of Teresa’s life.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnston & Williams of Ellensburg. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.johnston-williams.com
