Timothy James Tostenson, a beautiful soul loved by all, raced his way into the world on April 27, 2001, weighing in at 2.2 pounds, a fearless little fighter, and our miracle baby. We are heartbroken to share with all that he left us too soon on September 17, 2023. Timmy’s adventure started at the Yakima Memorial NICU, where he spent the first three months of his life charming all the nurses. Shortly after, he spent time at Seattle Children’s Hospital, receiving care and building his fan base.
At three years old, Timmy went on to charm the crowd at the Ellensburg Junior Rodeo with a 54 second mutton busting ride, earning himself a buckle as big as he was and a smile to match. After spending 13 years charming his way through the hallways of the Kittitas School District, Timmy graduated from Kittitas High School in 2019. While in school, he enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, and showing hogs at the Kittitas County Fair. He spent his summers working alongside his dad, Kevin, at Charlton Farms and helping his grandparents gather and split firewood for the winter.
After graduation Timmy proudly went to Ellensburg Cement Products, where he faithfully worked for over four years. Timmy grew up as everyone’s little guy. You could catch his smile at brandings, camping trips, fishing and boating adventures where he happily joined in with any family or friend shenanigans. His true love was spending time with family and friends in the hills gathering wood, huckleberry picking, snowmobiling, target shooting and riding dirt bikes. Unbeknownst to most of his buddies, in his downtime he enjoyed cooking and had taken up pottery wheel throwing. Timmy’s family was relieved when that business venture never took off.
Timmy was a happy-go-lucky goof ball, who was a friend to all and never had a bad day. He was a generous caretaker who never met a stranger and happily gave the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His heart shined the brightest in his role as a big brother to Kaylee and Kalvin. Timmy meant the world to his family and friends, and his family and friends meant the world to Timmy.
Timmy was preceded in death by great-grandparents Jim & Christine Seaton, Orlin & Lola Tostenson, Maurice & Joanna McGrath and Cliff & Carol Hoiland.
Timmy is survived by his parents, Kevin & Sarah Tostenson; siblings Kaylee & Kalvin Tostenson; grandparents Karl & Kathy Tostenson, John & Christy McGrath; Uncle Kyle (Erin) Tostenson, Aunt Andria (Derek) Graham, Uncle Mac (Raquel) McGrath, Aunt Erin McGrath; cousins Shelby (Chance and Rosalie) Schueller, Samantha and Cole Graham, Logan Svendsen, Kelby, Sam and Sawyer Tostenson and numerous great aunts, uncles and extended cousins who loved him dearly.

Timmy’s motto was, “You only live once, so live your life how you want it to be.” He will live forever young in our hearts, wild and free.
